Enyimba FC Denies 50% Salary Cut Rumours

Enyimba Football Club has issued an official statement debunking recent reports alleging a 50% salary reduction for its players following the club’s home defeat to Wikki Tourist FC.

The club categorically denies any such action, labeling the report as misleading and entirely fictitious.

According to the statement released by Enyimba Media, the management has neither approved nor implemented any salary cuts.

The club reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism in its dealings with players and staff, emphasizing that all official decisions are communicated solely through verified channels.

Enyimba FC expressed concern over the origin of the false report, which it claims was published by a supposedly reputable media outlet without any attempt to verify the information through the club’s official platforms or media team.

The club views this as a breach of journalistic integrity and urges the public to disregard the unfounded claims.

While reiterating its respect for the media, Enyimba FC stated that it remains focused on returning to winning ways and will continue to collaborate with media partners to promote its activities and contribute to the growth of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) and football development in the country.

The statement was signed by Enyimba Media.
