Silva praises Chukwueze but stays quiet on permanent Fulham deal

Marco Silva has played down speculation about Samuel Chukwueze’s long-term future at Fulham, insisting that no talks have yet taken place over making the winger’s loan move from AC Milan permanent.

Chukwueze was the standout performer in Fulham’s spirited 5-4 defeat to Manchester City earlier this week, scoring twice to register his first goals for the club.

Silva praised the Nigerian’s creativity and impact in the final third, noting that Fulham have safeguarded themselves with an option to buy at the end of the season.

He stressed that any decision will be made in the club’s best interests when the time comes, but for now he is simply pleased with the player’s contributions.
