Nnadozie, Alozie Up for Top Honours at The Best FIFA Awards 2025

Super Falcons stars Chiamaka Nnadozie and Michelle Alozie are in the spotlight ahead of Tuesday’s The Best FIFA Football Awards 2025, with both players earning prestigious nominations.

Nnadozie is in contention for the Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper award after a standout year for Paris FC, Brighton and the national team.

She is listed among seven elite goalkeepers vying for the honour, a group that includes Ann‑Katrin Berger, Cata Coll, Christiane Endler, Hannah Hampton, Anna Moorhouse and Phallon Tullis‑Joyce.

Her nomination reflects her rapid rise and growing stature as one of the most dependable goalkeepers in world football.

Alozie has also earned global recognition, making the 26‑player shortlist for the 2025 FIFPRO Women’s World 11.

She is the only Nigerian nominated in any of the 2025 FIFPRO Women’s World 11 categories, securing her place among top defenders such as Ona Batlle, Millie Bright, Lucy Bronze, Olga Carmona, Ellie Carpenter, Alex Greenwood and Leah Williamson.

Her performances for the Houston Dash and the Super Falcons have cemented her reputation as one of Africa’s most consistent and influential defenders.

Winners of The Best Awards are selected through a voting system that combines input from national team captains, national team coaches, accredited journalists and fans, with each group contributing equally.

Supporters also help determine the Women’s and Men’s World 11.
