‘Big Boy’ Osimhen Only Absentee as Super Eagles AFCON 2025 Camp IN Cairo Rises to 27

The Super Eagles camp has continued to gather momentum after officially opening on Sunday, with 27 players now on ground as preparations intensify for the team’s upcoming fixtures.

Francis Uzoho was the first player to arrive on Sunday, checking in just hours after camp opened. Stanley Nwabali followed shortly after, setting the tone for a steady flow of arrivals over the next 48 hours.

By the time the team played their warm‑up game, 25 players had already settled into camp. Samuel Chukwueze joined later that same night, pushing the number to 26. The latest arrival came on Wednesday when winger Moses Simon checked in as the 27th player.

The only player yet to report is ‘Big Boy’ Victor Osimhen. Despite featuring for his club on Saturday, the striker has not linked up with the squad as of Wednesday, making him the lone absentee as the team continues its build‑up.
