Regragui: Morocco ready for Nigeria in AFCON 2025 Semifinal Game

Morocco coach Walid Regragui has declared his squad ready for their Africa Cup of Nations semi-final against Nigeria, with only Azzedine Ounahi ruled out through injury.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference in Rabat, Regragui stressed that the Atlas Lions are fully focused on the challenge ahead.
‘The Moroccan team is aware of the difficulty of the task against a strong opponent, but it is determined to play the match with one goal which is to reach the final,’ he said.
The Atlas Lions will face Nigeria on Wednesday evening at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex, with kick-off scheduled for 9 p.m. local time.
Regragui confirmed that midfielder Ounahi remains sidelined, while veteran defender Romain Saïss has returned to training and could feature depending on his fitness assessment in the final session before the match. He praised his players’ performance in the quarter-final win over Cameroon, noting their physical and mental readiness.
