Super Eagles Shine Abroad: Osimhen, Awoniyi, Chukwueze, Onuachu, Adams All on Target

Super Eagles stars wasted no time in making their mark on their return to club football after the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, with Victor Osimhen, Taiwo Awoniyi, Samuel Chukwueze, Paul Onuachu, and Akor Adams all finding the back of the net in Europe’s top leagues.

In Turkey, Victor Osimhen reached a remarkable milestone, scoring his 50th goal for Galatasaray in just his 59th appearance. His strike sealed a 3-1 victory over Fatih Karagümrük, adding to his tally of seven league goals this season and 13 across all competitions.

Fellow striker Paul Onuachu also made headlines in the Super Lig, coming off the bench to score within five minutes for Trabzonspor in their 2-1 win against Kasımpasa, taking his season tally to 12 goals.

England witnessed a resurgence from Taiwo Awoniyi, who ended a 384-day Premier League goal drought with a stunning solo effort in Nottingham Forest’s 2-0 win at Brentford.

His compatriot Ola Aina provided the assist for Forest’s opener and earned plaudits for his defensive consistency.
