Adeleye: Victor Moses’ Kazakhstan Move Driven by Football, Not Money

Victor Moses’ move to Kazakhstan Premier League side Kaysar Kyzylorda has drawn praise from former Nigeria international Dele Adeleye, who insists the transfer is not financially motivated.

Moses, who won the Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria in 2013, signed a one-year deal after leaving Luton Town at the end of the 2024/25 season. Adeleye, who previously played in Kazakhstan with FC Aktobe, believes the move will benefit both the club and the league.

‘Yes, I heard about this news. I think this is a good transfer both for Kaysar and for the entire Kazakhstan championship. I think Moses’s transfer will give an additional boost to the development of Kazakhstani football,’ Adeleye told Meta-ratings.kz.

Asked if he had any role in the deal, Adeleye clarified: ‘No, he didn’t contact me. We haven’t seen each other in a while, but we’re still friends. Victor is a good guy, I’m very happy for him.’

He further emphasized Moses’ professionalism: ‘Moses is a professional. I’m sure he didn’t go to Kazakhstan just to show off or for the money. He’s a real hard worker.’
