Osimhen: Galatasaray ready for Juventus or Atletico Madrid in UCL Playoffs

Victor Osimhen has expressed confidence that Galatasaray will be prepared for whichever opponent they draw in the UEFA Champions League Playoffs, whether Juventus or Atletico Madrid.

Speaking after Galatasaray’s 2-0 loss to Manchester City in their final group-stage match, the Nigerian striker told UEFA.com: ‘Juventus are a very good team, so also Atletico. Whoever comes, we’ll do our best.’

Galatasaray finished among the top 24 teams in the competition and will discover their playoff opponents during Friday’s draw.

The winners of their playoff tie will go on to face either Tottenham Hotspur or Liverpool in the next round.

Head coach Okan Buruk also voiced his confidence that the Turkish champions will be ready for the challenge ahead, noting that the squad has been strengthened by winter signings.

Osimhen echoed that sentiment, praising the club’s transfer activity: ‘The club are working on transfers. We have signed two very good players.’
