Lookman to Sign Five-Year Atletico Madrid Deal Worth €6m a Season

Atletico Madrid are set to complete the signing of Ademola Lookman from Atalanta, with reports in Italy claiming the deal is now in its final stages.

Journalist Nico Schira revealed that Diego Simeone met with the Nigerian forward on Saturday night to persuade him to join the Spanish giants, and the talks appear to have been successful.

Lookman is expected to sign a five-year contract with Atletico, earning around €6 million per season plus bonuses.

The transfer fee is reported to be €40 million, including €5 million in add-ons, making it one of Atletico’s biggest moves of the winter window.

The 28-year-old has been in outstanding form for Atalanta, playing a key role in their attack and attracting interest from several clubs across Europe.

Simeone is keen to add more pace and creativity to his frontline, and Lookman’s versatility across the forward positions makes him a valuable addition.
