President Tinubu Celebrates NBBF Boss and NNPC Chair, Musa Kida at 65

President Bola Tinubu has extended warm congratulations to Ahmadu Musa Kida, President of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) and Chairman of the Board of NNPC Limited, on the occasion of his 65th birthday, celebrated on February 3.

The President praised Kida’s remarkable career across both the public and private sectors, noting his successful transition from player to administrator in Nigerian basketball.

Under Kida’s leadership, the NBBF has witnessed significant growth, with the women’s national team, D’Tigress, achieving historic feats such as becoming the first African side to reach the Olympic quarter-finals and winning the Afrobasket title five consecutive times.

President Tinubu also reflected on Kida’s distinguished career in the oil industry, beginning with Elf Petroleum Nigeria Limited (now Total Exploration & Production Nigeria) in 1985, where he established himself as a leading professional.

He commended Kida’s ongoing contributions as NNPC Limited board chairman, particularly in repositioning the company and driving revenue growth in line with the administration’s vision for the sector.

The President urged Kida to continue dedicating himself to national service and wished him many more years of fulfillment and success.
