Robbers Raid Peterside Idah’s Church in South Africa

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Peterside Idah has disclosed that his church in South Africa was attacked by armed robbers who tied up security personnel before making away with valuable equipment.

Idah, who is now the head pastor of Christ Ambassadors Church in Kempton Park, Johannesburg, revealed the incident in a Facebook post on Wednesday night.

He said the intruders held the church’s security staff captive for three hours before carting away mixers, speakers, and cameras.

‘Today robbers broke into our church in Kempton Park, tied our security for three hours, took everything, mixers, speakers, cameras, everything. Why? God’s property!’ Idah lamented in his post.

The former goalkeeper, who represented Nigeria between 1998 and 2001, enjoyed a career that included stints with Enyimba, BBC Lions of Gboko, and South African side Moroka Swallows.
