Osimhen Warns Juventus: ‘I’m Not the Only One Who Can Cause Damage

Victor Osimhen has cautioned Juventus ahead of their Champions League clash in Turin, insisting that defenders who concentrate solely on stopping him will be punished by Galatasaray’s collective firepower.
The Nigerian striker, who joined the Turkish champions permanently last summer, was instrumental in the first leg as Galatasaray dismantled Juventus 5-1 at RAMS Park. Though he did not score, Osimhen provided two assists and relentlessly unsettled the Italian defence.
Speaking at a press conference, Osimhen made it clear that Juventus cannot afford to treat him as the lone threat.
‘I’m not the only one who can cause damage; five goals were scored and I didn’t score. The threat will come from the entire team,’ he said.
He added that defenders who face him are ‘in for a nightmare,’ but warned that Galatasaray’s attacking depth makes them even more dangerous.
Osimhen also reflected on his past interest in joining Juventus, admitting he once considered a move before Galatasaray secured his signature.
‘Juventus is one of the most important clubs, rich in history and legends. At the time, I was eager to come before Galatasaray showed up, but there were obstacles. That move didn’t happen, but playing here would be a privilege. Still, I love Galatasaray very much,’ he said.
The 27-year-old missed the recent Konyaspor fixture with a knee issue but has returned to training and is expected to feature in Wednesday’s showdown.
His recovery is a major boost for Galatasaray as they aim to secure qualification for the Round of 16, with Osimhen determined to ensure Juventus defenders face problems from every angle.
