‘It’s a Beautiful Day’: Saka Celebrates 300th Arsenal Appearance with Goal

Bukayo Saka marked his 300th appearance for Arsenal in style, scoring the only goal of the game to extend the Gunners’ lead at the top of the Premier League table.

The 24‑year‑old academy graduate became the fourth youngest player in club history to reach the milestone, and celebrated it with his 79th goal for the team.

Saka struck after just nine minutes, cutting in from the right before unleashing a left‑footed effort that deflected past Brighton goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen.

It proved decisive in securing all three points on a night that carried personal significance for the winger.

‘Yeah I’m very proud, very happy,’ he told the club’s official website. ‘I feel very blessed. It’s a beautiful day for me and my family. To top it off with a massive win and a goal, I’m so grateful. Let’s just keep going like this. Let’s keep enjoying this journey and continue like this.’

Reflecting on the goal, Saka admitted he had been determined to be more direct in attack.

‘I had an action before where I thought I could have been a bit more direct,’ he explained. ‘When I got the ball next, I said I’m going to be direct and go for it. I did that, cut in and took a shot. I didn’t know how it went in initially, but a goal’s a goal, so we’ll take it!’

The England international also underlined the importance of the victory, which stretched Arsenal’s lead at the summit to seven points.

‘We fought for it. In the end, we got the win, we got the result we wanted. Yeah, we just feel good about it. The games keep coming. We keep getting results and that’s the way we need to keep going. We’ve got another one today, so we’re happy. We just need to keep continuing like this.’
