D’Tigress’ Star Macaulay Named in FIBA All-Star Five

Victoria Macaulay has been recognised among the standout performers at the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2026 Qualifying Tournament in Lyon-Villeurbanne, France, after being named to the prestigious All-Star Five.
The Nigerian forward was one of the most consistent players across the competition, delivering strong displays in the paint and using her experience to guide D’Tigress through an up-and-down campaign.
Averaging 13.6 points, 6 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game, she finished as Nigeria’s leader in both scoring and efficiency.
Her inclusion alongside France’s Janelle Salaun, who was crowned TISSOT MVP, Marine Johannes, Germany’s Frieda Buhner, and Korea’s Leeseul Kang, highlights Macaulay’s impact on the global stage.
While Nigeria endured mixed results, Macaulay’s performances stood out as a reminder of her importance to the African champions. Her strength, composure, and leadership ensured she left France with individual honours, even as the team faced challenges.
