World Indoor Championships: From Bronze to Silver, Dosso Chases Gold in Poland After Qualifying for 60m Semis

Italian sprinter Zaynab Dosso has qualified for the semifinals of the women’s 60m at the ongoing World Indoor Championships in Poland after clocking 7.07 seconds.
The 2024 bronze medalist and 2025 silver medalist is now chasing gold to complete a remarkable medal sweep, but she insists she is keeping her focus on enjoying the competition.
Speaking after her race, Dosso said she was pleasantly surprised by her performance:
“I am here to enjoy the experience. I just wanted to run easy and relaxed here. I am actually impressed by my time, I did not expect to be so fast. I may be one of the favourites but it is the 60m – small mistakes can make a big difference. If I win, I promised I would do a dance – maybe it will be bachata.”
Dosso’s progression through the rounds has raised hopes that she could upgrade her medal collection once again, having already established herself as one of Europe’s leading sprinters in the short dash.
