Galatasaray President Özbek Visits Osimhen, Confident Nigerian Will Be Fit for Fenerbahçe Clash

Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has undergone successful surgery following the arm injury he sustained against Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League.
The Nigerian forward’s recovery is now being closely monitored by the club’s medical team, with fans eager to know if he will be fit in time for the upcoming Fenerbahçe derby.
Club doctor Yener İnce confirmed the operation went well and assured supporters that Osimhen’s progress will be tracked daily.
‘Our player had a successful operation today. His process will be monitored day by day and our medical team will do what is necessary to return him to the field as soon as possible. Up-to-date information will be shared with the public during the process,’ İnce said.
Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek visited Osimhen in hospital and spoke to reporters afterwards.
When asked about the striker’s chances of featuring in the derby, Özbek struck an optimistic tone.
‘He is very healthy. He had a very successful surgery. Hopefully, he will return to the field as soon as possible. He will try to return as soon as possible,’ he said.
While no official timeline has been given, the club’s leadership remains hopeful that Osimhen could recover in time to play a role in one of the season’s most crucial fixtures.
