Faleke Donates Coaster Bus, Honoured as ANFASSC National Patron

Hon. Abiodun James Faleke, member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has been officially decorated as the National Patron of the Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters Club (ANFASSC).
The lawmaker marked the occasion by donating a coaster bus to the supporters’ club during a colourful ceremony at the Nigeria Police College, Ikeja, held as part of his routine empowerment programme for constituents.
The event, led by ANFASSC National President Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi, also saw Faleke honoured with the title of Sports Philanthropist Political Leader of the Decade, in recognition of his consistent support for sports development and youth engagement across Nigeria.
In his remarks, Faleke praised the supporters’ club for its dedication to promoting Nigerian sports and mobilising grassroots support for national teams.
He emphasised that sports remain a vital tool for youth development, national unity, and economic growth, pledging continued support for initiatives that encourage participation at the grassroots level.
The donation of the coaster bus was described by observers as historic, being the first time in over two decades that a supporters’ club in Nigeria has received such direct support from an individual.
The gesture comes on the heels of ANFASSC’s vibrant presence at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, where the group stood out for its passionate backing of Nigerian teams.
Prince Ogunjimi hailed Faleke’s contribution as a benchmark for political leaders, urging others to emulate his commitment to empowering constituents and advancing youth and sports development.
The ceremony was attended by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, alongside several local government chairpersons and political figures, who joined in celebrating the lawmaker’s recognition and philanthropy.
