Adeshina’s Undefeated Season Secures 3rd Bowerman Recognition
Temitope Adeshina has secured her third career appearance on The Bowerman Women’s Watch List, underlining her dominance in collegiate high jump this season.
The Texas Tech star remains undefeated in 2026 and matched her indoor best of 1.97m to retain her NCAA Division I Indoor crown.
That mark places her fifth all‑time in collegiate history, and she has attempted to equal the indoor collegiate record of 2.00m on three occasions this winter.
The latest update to the Watch List, released Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), introduced five changes.
Four athletes made their career debuts: Gladys Chepngetich of Clemson, Adaejah Hodge of Georgia, Aaliyah McCormick of Oregon and Anthonett Nabwe of Minnesota.
It is the largest number of first‑time inclusions on a single Women’s Watch List since last year.
The fifth change saw Oregon’s Wilma Nielsen return, extending the Ducks’ record to 27 Women’s Watch List appearances, the most in the award’s history.
They join Adeshina and other returnees including Jane Hedengren of BYU, Axelina Johansson of Nebraska, 2025 winner Doris Lemngole of Alabama and Hana Moll of Washington.
The Bowerman, regarded as track and field’s highest individual honor, will be awarded in December at the USTFCCCA Convention in Grapevine, Texas.
