Lucas Torreira: Osimhen, Mbappé, Valverde Are World’s Best
Galatasaray midfielder Lucas Torreira has hailed Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen as one of the three best footballers in the world, placing him above global stars such as Lamine Yamal, Vinícius Jr., Harry Kane and Erling Haaland.
Speaking in an interview with MK News Turkey, the former Arsenal and Atlético Madrid player named Osimhen alongside Real Madrid’s Federico Valverde and Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappé as the standout performers in world football today.
‘Federico Valverde, Kylian Mbappé, and Victor Osimhen are currently the world’s best footballers,’ Torreira said.
The endorsement comes in the midst of a remarkable season for Osimhen, who has scored 19 goals and provided seven assists in 29 appearances across all competitions for Galatasaray.
His form has been pivotal in the club’s push to defend their Süper Lig crown and in their historic run to the Champions League Round of 16, the first time a Turkish side has reached that stage in over a decade.
Osimhen’s performances have attracted interest from Europe’s elite clubs, including Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus, though a summer move appears unlikely given his record-breaking salary, the highest in Süper Lig history, and his public commitment to life at Galatasaray.
