Iheanacho Delighted to Score After Six Month Drought

Celtic striker Kelechi Iheanacho was the hero at Dens Park on Sunday, scoring a late goal to secure a 2-1 victory over Dundee in the Scottish Premiership.

The Nigerian international’s strike was his fourth of the season and his first since October, capping off a difficult, injury-hit campaign. His decisive finish ensured Celtic collected another vital three points in their push for the league title.

Speaking after the game, Iheanacho expressed his delight at contributing to the team’s success.

‘It feels good to help the team get the win today. We really showed character and worked hard,’ he said. ‘I’ve been out for a while, so it feels good to be back and to help the team get the win.’

Celtic had dominated the first half but failed to convert chances. Dundee equalised from the penalty spot in the second half, before Iheanacho’s late intervention sealed the result.

The victory extends Celtic’s momentum in the league and marks a welcome return to form for Iheanacho, who is eager to play a bigger role in the closing stages of the season.
