Besiktas Join Race for Onana After Manchester United Exit

A fresh twist has emerged in the future of Andre Onana, with reports claiming that Beşiktaş are now evaluating a move for the Cameroonian goalkeeper.

Onana, who joined Manchester United from Inter Milan in 2023 for €50 million, has spent this season on loan at Trabzonspor, where he impressed with consistent performances.

However, United have reportedly closed the door on his return, citing his high wages, around €140,000 per week, as unsustainable for a backup role.

Although Onana is keen to return to England and fight for a starting spot, United’s stance means he is likely to be sold or loaned out again.

The Turkish market remains particularly active, with Trabzonspor eager to keep him and Beşiktaş stepping in as potential suitors.

According to reports in the British press, clubs in Monaco and Saudi Arabia are also monitoring the situation, waiting for an opportunity should United decide to offload the 30‑year‑old.
