Busari Invites 36 Players to Flamingos’ Camp Ahead of FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers
Newly‑appointed Head Coach Akeem Ishola Busari has named a 36‑player squad as Nigeria’s U17 Girls prepare for next month’s FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup second‑round qualifying fixture.
Busari, who replaced Bankole Olowookere, begins his tenure with a crucial test against the winner of the Niger Republic versus Guinea clash.
Niger Republic host Guinea in the first round this weekend, with the return leg scheduled for Conakry next week.
The eventual winner will face Nigeria in the second round, with the first leg slated for the weekend of 22–24 May and the return leg in Nigeria on 30 May.
Busari’s call‑up features five goalkeepers, ten defenders, thirteen midfielders and eight forwards, reflecting a balanced mix of youth and experience.
