Osimhen: We Must Win at Home to Seal Super Lig Title

Apologizes to Fans After 4-1 Defeat at Samsunspor, Vows Championship Next Week

Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has promised fans that the team will bounce back next week and secure the Super League crown after suffering a shock 4-1 defeat to Samsunspor in Week 32 of the Trendyol Super League.

The loss cut Galatasaray’s lead over rivals Fenerbahçe to just four points, setting up a tense finale to the season.

Speaking to beIN SPORTS after the match, Osimhen admitted the team fell short but insisted the title remains within reach.

‘We knew it wouldn’t be easy. We didn’t play well either. We will win the match at home and declare our championship. We also apologize to the fans. They did not leave us alone, they were with us. We will look ahead,’ he said.

The Nigerian forward emphasized the importance of the upcoming clash with Fenerbahçe, calling it the decisive fixture in the title race. “We played an incredible match against our opponent.

It was the match that brought the championship. Let’s not get hung up on this match. We have to keep going. We have to win at home and declare the championship. Nothing has changed. The team will give everything. We want to achieve our dreams next week,’ Osimhen added.

Despite the heavy defeat, Galatasaray remain in control of their destiny. Victory in their next home fixture would seal the championship and deliver a fitting end to Osimhen’s first season in Istanbul.
