Stay Away from Old Trafford: Odemwingie’s Stark Advice to Osimhen

Former Nigerian international Osaze Odemwingie has urged Victor Osimhen to avoid a move to Manchester United, warning the Galatasaray striker that he risks becoming a scapegoat at Old Trafford.
Speaking to Brila, Odemwingie analysed the 25-year-old’s career options amid growing transfer speculation.
He argued that Osimhen’s pace, aerial ability, and intelligent runs make him ideally suited to Arsenal, Barcelona, or Real Madrid, where he believes the forward could thrive.
‘Arsenal and Barcelona would be good, these are established clubs. Real Madrid is also a top option for him. He uses the ball well, makes accurate runs, and is effective in the air. Real Madrid’s pitch is wide, which suits his runs well,’ Odemwingie said.
However, the former Premier League striker was emphatic in his warning about Manchester United.
‘He should stay away from Manchester United. There are a lot of problems there. The pressure on the strikers is enormous. We saw this with Romelu Lukaku and many other players. Since the club is very big, the expectation of results is high and there is always a scapegoat.’
Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray at the start of the season, has impressed with his performances and remains under contract until June 2029.
His form has ensured he stays firmly on the radar of Europe’s elite clubs, but Odemwingie’s comments highlight the risks of choosing the wrong destination at a crucial stage of his career.
