Falconets Close In On FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Poland

Nigeria’s U-20 women’s team, the Falconets, are just one step away from securing their place at the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Poland.

With a 2-0 first-leg advantage over Malawi, the two-time finalists are determined to extend their flawless record of appearances at every edition since 2002.

Head coach Moses Aduku has assured fans of the team’s readiness, stressing their tactical discipline and mental focus ahead of Saturday’s clash at the Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe.

The Falconets have already swept past Rwanda and Senegal in earlier rounds, and now stand on the brink of another qualification triumph.

Elsewhere in the qualifiers, Ghana face a tricky away test against Uganda after a narrow 2-1 win in Accra, Cameroon travel to Dar es Salaam with a 3-1 lead over Tanzania, while Benin Republic host Côte d’Ivoire following a 1-1 draw in Abidjan.
