Iwobi Boost for Fulham Ahead of Wolves Clash

Fulham have received a timely boost ahead of their Premier League trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday, with manager Marco Silva confirming that Nigeria international Alex Iwobi is back in contention after recovering from a hamstring injury.

Iwobi, who has missed the last three matches, returned to training last week and has since completed full sessions with the squad.

‘Alex is back in contention for the game. Last week, he had some training sessions with us. This week, throughout the week, he’s been working with us. It’s been a good week for him,’ Silva said during his pre-match press conference.

The midfielder has been a near ever-present for Fulham this season, aside from his absence at the Africa Cup of Nations.

His versatility and creativity have made him a key figure in Silva’s setup.

‘He’s a big player for us, definitely. He’s a player who’s very versatile, who can play in many different positions. He’s also a player that can add extra quality in the decision making. In all aspects of the game he’s a key player for us and he’s shown it again this season. It’s a boost. Definitely, it’s a boost,’ Silva added.
