Rivers United FC Imposes Indefinite Ban on Prince Worlu from All Club Activities and Matches

Rivers United Football Club has announced the immediate and indefinite suspension of Prince Worlu of Prince CJ Sports World from all club activities and engagements.
Effective immediately, Worlu is prohibited from attending Rivers United matches, including home fixtures at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, and from participating in any official club functions, training sessions, camps, or related activities.
This decisive measure follows what the club describes as a sustained campaign of false publications, misleading videos, and malicious commentary directed at its management, technical crew, staff, and players.
According to Rivers United, these actions were deliberately calculated to destabilize the team, distract the players, and undermine the management.
In a strongly worded statement, the club declared: ‘The pattern of blackmail, sponsored propaganda, and divisive content emanating from Mr. Prince Worlu is unacceptable and will no longer be tolerated.
‘His attacks began during the league season and have persisted into the President Federation Cup campaign, despite the absence of proper journalistic investigation to verify facts. Such sponsored distractions threaten the unity and focus of our team at a critical stage of the season, and we condemn them in the strongest terms.’
Rivers United FC reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding the integrity of the club, the welfare of its personnel, and the concentration of the team.
While constructive criticism is welcomed, the club emphasized that defamatory and disruptive conduct will not be tolerated. Processes are already underway to extend this restriction nationwide, ensuring Mr. Worlu is barred from other stadiums across Nigeria.
The club urged supporters, stakeholders, and the general public to disregard any false narratives from Worlu and to continue offering their full support to the team.
