FC Ebedei Talent Olashile Lawal Signs for Midtjylland

FC Midtjylland have confirmed the signing of Nigerian forward Olashile Musa Lawal from partner club FC Ebedei, further strengthening the Danish Superliga side’s long-standing ties with Nigerian football.
The 18-year-old striker will begin his journey in Midtjylland’s U-19 squad, where he is expected to continue his development before making the step up to the senior team.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Lawal expressed his delight at the move: ‘It means an incredible amount to me. Since I was little, I have dreamed of taking this very step. I have a lot of goals for myself and I know this is a big step in the right direction for me. I want to help the team and show what I can do as part of the academy.’
Head of FCM Nigeria, Jonas Dal, praised the qualities Lawal brings to the squad: ‘Olashile is a player you really want to have as part of your team. He can play both as a No. 9 or as a tall striker. He is incredibly skilled on the ball, has impressive technique, and combines good physique with speed. We are incredibly happy that he has signed a contract with FC Midtjylland.’
Lawal’s signing continues the successful pathway between FC Midtjylland and FC Ebedei, a partnership that has consistently produced African talents who have gone on to make their mark in European football.
