Condolences Pour in as George Aluo Loses Mother at 89
Member of the Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and Chairman of the Nigeria National League (NNL), George Aluo, has announced the passing of his mother, Ezinne Bernadette Aluo.
According to a statement issued by Aluo, his mother passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026.
Announcing the sad news, Aluo paid tribute to his late mother, describing her as a woman of enduring faith who lived a fulfilled life.
“My mother, Ezinne Bernadette Aluo, has gone to be with her Creator. She has fought the good fight; she has finished the race; she has kept the faith,” he said.
The late Ezinne Bernadette Aluo would have celebrated her 90th birthday on November 18, 2026.
The Nigeria Football Federation extends its heartfelt condolences to George Aluo, his family and loved ones, praying that they find strength, comfort and peace during this period of mourning.
