Genk Eye €10m Move for Nigerian Striker Rafiu Durosinmi

Belgian Pro League side Genk are reportedly considering a move for Nigerian striker Rafiu Durosinmi, with Italian club Pisa said to be demanding around €10 million for the 23-year-old forward.

According to reports from Belgium, Genk have identified Durosinmi as a key target as they look to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new season. However, Pisa are unwilling to sanction the striker’s departure for less than €10 million.

The Belgian club could soon have the financial capacity to meet that valuation as negotiations continue with Borussia Dortmund over the proposed transfer of highly rated midfielder Kos Karetsas.

Genk are reportedly seeking a fee in the region of €35 million for the Greek youngster, a deal that would significantly boost their transfer budget.

Durosinmi joined Pisa from Czech side Viktoria Plzeň in January 2026 after an impressive spell in which he scored 31 goals in 71 appearances for the club.

Since moving to Italy, the Nigerian has found opportunities more limited, scoring once in 12 appearances as Pisa endured a difficult campaign that ended in relegation to Serie B.

Despite his modest return in Italy, Genk remain confident in the striker’s potential, having enjoyed considerable success with Nigerian forwards in recent years.

Both Paul Onuachu and Tolu Arokodare established themselves among the league’s most prolific goalscorers during their time with the Belgian club.

A transfer worth €10 million would represent a significant investment for Genk and would reportedly surpass the club’s previous record transfer fee.

Club officials are therefore expected to carefully assess the financial implications before making a formal move.

Reports also suggest that Durosinmi is open to joining Genk following Pisa’s relegation, with the prospect of returning to top-flight football and competing in Belgium viewed as an attractive opportunity.
