Arokodare Passes Medical Ahead of Ajax Switch
Nigeria international Tolu Arokodare is on the verge of sealing a loan move from Wolverhampton Wanderers to Ajax after successfully completing his medical and finalising the necessary paperwork for the transfer.
According to Sky Sports News, the 25-year-old striker has agreed to join the Dutch giants on an initial season-long loan.
Ajax will pay a £1 million loan fee, with additional payments due if they qualify for the league phase of a European competition.
The Eredivisie club will also have the option to make the move permanent for £17 million at the end of the loan spell.
The move would see Arokodare return to Dutch football, where he previously featured for RKC Waalwijk, as Ajax look to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new campaign.
An official announcement is expected once all formalities between the two clubs are completed.
