Fasuba Storms to Top of UK U16 100m Rankings

Plymouth-based Nigerian-born sprinter Annabelle Fasuba has moved to the top of the UK under-16 girls’ 100m rankings after an impressive performance against some of Britain’s leading senior sprinters at the Stratford Speed event in London.

The 15-year-old triple English Schools’ champion won her heat in a legal 11.57 seconds to book her place in the main final, where she finished fourth in 11.59.

Fasuba was the only junior athlete to reach the main final and finished behind Cheyanne Evans-Gray, Kristal Ama-Awuah and Joy Eze, all of whom are ranked among the UK’s top 10 senior sprinters.
