‘Arsenal Have the Fewest Question Marks’: Owen Tips Gunners for Back-to-Back EPL Titles

Former England international Michael Owen has made a bold prediction for the 2026/27 Premier League season, backing Arsenal to retain the title while predicting both Manchester City and Manchester United will miss out on the top four.
Owen has placed Arsenal at the summit of his predicted table, arguing that Mikel Arteta’s side have fewer question marks than their main rivals heading into the new campaign.
Chelsea are tipped to finish second, followed by Tottenham Hotspur in third and Liverpool in fourth.
Manchester City are predicted to finish fifth, meaning Pep Guardiola’s former club would miss out on Champions League qualification, while Manchester United are placed sixth despite finishing third last season under Michael Carrick.
Owen believes City face a major challenge following Guardiola’s departure, with Enzo Maresca now tasked with taking over the club.
He also considers the departure of Rodri to Barcelona a significant concern for the reigning champions.
The former Liverpool, Real Madrid and Manchester United striker has enjoyed a distinguished Premier League career of his own. Born in England on December 14, 1979, Owen made 326 Premier League appearances, scoring 150 goals and providing 31 assists.
His 150 Premier League goals place him among the competition’s most prolific scorers, while his pace and finishing made him one of the most feared forwards of his generation.
Owen’s full predicted top six for the 2026/27 Premier League season is Arsenal first, Chelsea second, Tottenham third, Liverpool fourth, Manchester City fifth and Manchester United sixth.
