Nwaiwu Apologises to Trabzonspor Fans, Promises Response After Amedspor Setback

Trabzonspor defender Uchenna Nwaiwu has apologised to the club’s supporters following their disappointing defeat to Amedspor in the third week of the Turkish Super Lig, promising that the team will bounce back.

The Nigerian centre-back admitted that Trabzonspor failed to meet the expectations of their travelling supporters and thanked the fans for their continued backing after the setback.

‘First of all, I would like to thank our fans who came this far and supported us. They had great expectations from us, but that’s how football is,’ Nwaiwu told beIN SPORTS after the game.

‘We are very sorry. My message for our fans is that we will continue to win matches for them.’

Nwaiwu and his teammates will now turn their attention to their next league fixture, a home game against Gençlerbirliği, hoping to put the disappointment of the Amedspor defeat behind them and return to winning ways.
