Ndidi rated best player on 210th appearance for Leicester City

Wilfred Ndidi played his best game of the season on his 210th appearance for Leicester City who crashed 2-1 at the King Palace styadium to Joe Aribo’s Southampton.

The Nigerian international has had below average performances for the Foxes in his first two Premier League games of the season but put on a great display in front of the home fans but his briliance was not enough to arrest the Foxes sloppy start to the season.

Influential Leicester Mercury newspaper rated the Nigerian joint best with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

‘His (Ndidi) best game of the season so far. He is so much more influential when he is alone at the base of midfield, breaking up countless attacks, knowing he has to get stuck in otherwise nobody else will do it. But, he did get caught under the ball for the long throw on the first Saints goal,’ wrote the newspaper in its online edition.

While Ndidi was rated excellent, compatriot Kelechi Iheanacho who came in as a substitute for the Harvey Barnes in the 76th minute was rated below average.

”As with the other substitutes, Iheanacho barely made an impact on the game. When the ball came into his feet, he regularly lost it,’ wrote the newspaper.
