Wolves 0-3 Man City: Haaland sets new Premier League away goals record
Becomes first player in competition history to score in each of his first four away games
Norwegian forward Erling Haaland has become the first player in Premier League history to score in each of his first four away games in the competition.
The 22 year old scored the second goal in a matchweek eight fixture between his club, Manchester City and their host, Wolverhampton Wandereres at the Molineux.
The Norwegian collects the ball deep and races into space with only Max Kiman ahead of him. He takes a shot from range that skims the turf and nestles in the bottom right corner.
“It was not the cleanest strike from Erling Haaland but he will not care one bit about that. Jose Sa is expecting him to whip it into the far corner but he goes to the near post, and it finds the back of the net,” says Premier League pundit Alan Shearer.
It was his 11th goal in seven Premier League matches for for the former Borussia Dortmund star.
With the goal, Haaland has also scored 100 goals in his last 99 games in all competitions since leaving RB Salzburg in January 2020.
