‘Well Done Boys’: Kanu hails Arsenal after Man United victory

Former Nigeria captain and Arsenal legend, Nwankwo Kanu has hailed Arsenal after the Gunners defeated Manchester United 3-2 at the Emirates stadium on Sunday to restore their five point lead at the top of the Premier League table.

‘Well done boys,’ an obviously elated Kanu who scored 44 goals in 196 appearances for Arsenal across all competitions tweeted after the thrilling encounter.

Kanu scored thrice and bagged two assists in 17 games against the Red Devils but none of the goals and the assists came in the 10 Premier League appearances he made for Arsenal against Manchester United.

Man United scored first through Marcus Rashford and Eddie Nketiah made it 1-1 to end the first half on an even note.

Bukayo Saka put Arsenal ahead atter the restart before Lisandro Martinez drew the visitors level.

With the match looking like heading for a draw, Nketiah scored dramatic winner to restore Arsenal’s lead.
