AC Milan target Victor Boniface in €40m summer swoop

AC Milan have set their sights on Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface as their top attacking target for the summer transfer window, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport’s Luca Bianchin.

The 24-year-old Nigerian international has been on Milan’s radar for the past nine months, with the Rossoneri having already made contact with his camp to gauge the possibility of a deal.

Boniface is one of several names on Milan’s shortlist as the club looks to bolster its strike force, which also includes Dusan Vlahović (Juventus), Darwin Núñez (Liverpool), and Matteo Retegui (Atalanta). However, Boniface’s dynamic style and physical presence have made him a standout candidate.

Despite his current valuation of €30–€40 million, a move could be on the cards. Leverkusen were close to selling the striker to Al Nassr in the previous window, and sources suggest they may be open to a summer departure.

Boniface registered 8 goals and 1 assist in 19 Bundesliga appearances last season, despite battling injuries—a stat line that hasn’t dulled Milan’s enthusiasm. Head coach Max Allegri is said to be a keen admirer and believes the striker could bring added depth and firepower to Milan’s front line for the upcoming campaign.
