Adeleke and Oladipupo Crowned Champions as Ijomoni Takes Top Honour at GOtv Boxing Night 34

GOtv Boxing Night 34 delivered a thrilling evening at Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos, with three standout performances stealing the spotlight.

Tobiloba ‘Smiling Assassin’ Ijomoni, Sadiq ‘Happy Boy’ Adeleke and Saddam ‘Baby Boxer’ Oladipupo emerged as the stars of the festival, each leaving a lasting impression on fans.

In the headline bout, Adeleke dethroned defending champion Durotimi ‘Tiny’ Agboola to capture the national super bantamweight title.

After ten gruelling rounds, the judges awarded him a majority decision, rewarding his relentless pressure and composure. The victory marked Adeleke’s first national crown and confirmed his rise on the domestic scene.

Oladipupo also claimed glory, becoming the new national lightweight champion with a dominant unanimous decision win over Imole ‘System’ Oloyede. Controlling the pace from start to finish, ‘Baby Boxer’ showcased maturity and tactical sharpness to secure the belt.

Ijomoni, meanwhile, walked away with the night’s biggest individual honour. His unanimous decision victory over Segun ‘Odi’ Gbobaniyi earned him the Best Boxer of the Night award, the prestigious Mojisola Ogunsanya Memorial Trophy, and a ₦1 million cash prize.

The undercard bouts added further excitement. Emmanuel ‘Ability’ Abimbola handed Sodiq ‘Smart Lion’ Suleiman his first career defeat with a fourth-round stoppage, while Toheeb ‘Full Tank’ Hassan produced a fifth-round technical knockout against Ezekiel ‘Touch’ Seun.

Rasheed ‘ID Buster’ Idowu brought international flavour, halting Ghana’s Nii Offei Dodoo in the fourth round of their catchweight clash.

Beyond the boxing, fans enjoyed live music from Shoday and comedy from Triclowns, rounding off an electrifying night sponsored by GOtv with support from MultiChoice, Renmoney, ZetaWeb, TheCable and the Lagos State Sports Commission.
