AFN Elections 2025: NAPHERSD demands N150,000 for expression of interest form!
Nigeria Association For Physical, Health Education, Recreation, Sports And Dance, NAPHERSD, is asking those seeking election into the board of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria, AFN, to pay a non-refundable fee of N150,000 for the expression of interest form.
In a statement issued by Franz Atare, the Secretary General of the association, the money should be paid into a FCMB account (4788216018) belonging to the association as contained in the NAPHERSD Guideline issued for the elections and which is different from the Guideline issued by the AFN Electoral Committee.
The money is among a few other conditions put down for all aspirants from the association wishing to be a board member of AFN.
Aspirants must be registered member of the association at national level for not less than four years and has paid his/her annual dues consistently for the last four years. The aspirants must also have participated in at least three conferences and congresses in the last five years.
‘If currently a member of a sports federation, the candidate must give a report of stewardship and resign from the current before expressing interest in another since the boards are yet to be dissolved,’ the Guidelines also stated.
