Al-Hilal dangles €160m deal to tempt Osimhen amid Galatasaray standoff

Saudi Arabian giants Al-Hilal have reignited their pursuit of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, tabling a staggering offer that could make him one of the highest-paid footballers globally.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the Saudi Pro League club has proposed a €40 million-per-year contract over four years, with an optional fifth, totaling €160 million.

Osimhen, 26, is currently back in Nigeria following a prolific season on loan at Galatasaray, where he netted 37 goals and provided 8 assists in 41 appearances, helping the club clinch both the Süper Lig and Turkish Cup titles.

Despite earlier rejecting a lucrative offer from Al-Hilal, the club remains persistent, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that the Saudi side is ‘not giving up’ on signing the Super Eagles star.

In a recent interview, Osimhen addressed the swirling transfer rumors, saying, ‘At the moment I am focused on the holidays, I am resting. We will see what happens’.

Meanwhile, Galatasaray is eager to retain the striker permanently. Club vice president Abdullah Kavukcu, speaking at a sponsorship event, acknowledged the complexity of the situation: ‘Osimhen will make a very serious decision. He also has a family. There are huge numbers in between.

‘We want him to make his decision tomorrow, but we are also respectful. He is constantly asking us for time. However, there is an end point to this period. We are not doing anything right now, but we have a plan B’.

With Napoli reportedly accepting Al-Hilal’s €75 million transfer bid, the decision now rests with Osimhen, who is weighing his options between a record-breaking payday in Saudi Arabia and continued success in European football.
