‘Another school record yesterday, I am grateful Lord’

Rosemary Chukwuma says she is overjoyed after breaking her school, Texas Tech University 60 record for the second time this month. The 22 year old ran 7.09 over the 60m event Friday in Texas to break the 7.11 record she set a fortnight earlier. The Nigerian now owns the two 60m fastest time in Texas Tech history and has raced into the top 10 all-time NCAA list. ‘Another school record yesterday (Friday). I am grateful Lord,’ she wrote on her Facebook page.
Chukwuma’s time also made her the seventh Nigerian woman in history to go inside 60m and the fourth joint fastest with Uduak Ekah and 2008 World Indoor Championships finalist, Franca Idoko.
