Arise News and Premium Trust Bank have joined forces to sponsor the 2024 Nigerian Athletics Championships, set to take place from August 1 to 3 at the Yabatech Sports Ground in Lagos.
This high-stakes event will serve as Nigeria’s official selection trials for the 20th World Athletics Championships scheduled for September in Tokyo, Japan.
Arise News, already rolling out promotional campaigns across its broadcast platforms, has committed ₦20 million to the championship, reflecting the media house’s dedication to the advancement of Nigerian athletics.
Premium Trust Bank, known for its growing investment in sports development, returns as an official sponsor of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN), further underscoring its commitment to nurturing local talent.

Leading the pack is Tobi Amusan, the 2022 World 100m hurdles champion and current world record holder with a time of 12.12 seconds.
