Arsenal draw Newcastle, Liverpool to face Tottenham in EFL Cup semis

Arsenal will play Newcastle in one of the semifinal games of the EFL (Carabao) Cup while Liverpool and Tottenham will face each other in the second semifinal following the draw Thursday.

Tottenham were the last team to seal a place in the final four after defeating Manchester United 4-3 in a pulsating tie at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.

The north London side have now been rewarded with a game against Liverpool early next year.

Liverpool and Tottenham have met eight times in the EFL Cup with Liverpool winning just twice while Tottenham have won four times.

Overall, Liverpool have won 87 times across all competitions with Tottenham winning 49 times with 45 games drawn.

Arsenal however hold a 4-0 head to head record against Newcastle in the League Cup and have won 85 times in the Magpies’ 70 across all competitions.
