Arsenal Vs Wolves: Gunners aim to make it five home wins in a row, chase historic streak

Arsenal head into their clash with Wolves looking to secure five consecutive home Premier League victories for the first time since their run between January and April 2024.

The Gunners have also built a strong record against struggling sides, winning their last seven home matches against teams starting the day in the relegation zone, a streak that began after their 3–3 draw with Southampton in April 2023.

Their dominance over Wolves has been even more emphatic. Arsenal have won each of their last eight Premier League meetings with the Midlands club, their longest winning run against any opponent since a sequence of 10 straight victories over Burnley between 2010 and 2019.

Wolves have managed just one win in their last 14 league visits to Arsenal, losing the last four in succession since their 2–1 victory in November 2020.

Arsenal have also scored in each of their last 35 matches against Wolves in all competitions, a run stretching back to a 1–0 defeat in February 1979. In the entire history of English football, only Wrexham’s 49‑game scoring streak against Darlington stands above it.

The Gunners have never lost a home Premier League match to a side starting the day bottom of the table, winning 18 and drawing eight of the 26 such fixtures. They have kept seven clean sheets in their last eight of these encounters.

Their recent goalscoring pattern has shifted too: after 12 of their first 17 league goals this season came from set pieces, their last 11 have all arrived from open play following Viktor Gyökeres’ header at Burnley in November.

Wolves arrive at the Emirates in dismal form, winless in 19 Premier League matches and on an eight‑game losing streak. Both runs equal the longest in their league history, matching sequences from the mid‑1980s and early 1980s respectively.

Several individual players also carry notable records into the fixture. Noni Madueke has scored four goals in his two Premier League starts against Wolves, including a hat‑trick for Chelsea at Molineux last season.

Eberechi Eze has found the net in five of his last six league appearances against Wolves, scoring in each of his last three. Bukayo Saka, meanwhile, has scored in his last three home Premier League games against Wolves and both scored and assisted in this fixture last season.
