‘Awodi n fo loke, o ni ohun fę d’Oluwa (the Eagle flies to the high skies, wanting to be God),’ Osimhen posts cryptic musical message following impending Galatasaray move

Victor Osimhen has posted a cryptic musical message on his Instagram page following reports he was jetting out Monday night to Istanbul to complete a loan move to Turkish Super Lig side, Galatasaray.

According to Football Italia, Digitale Turkish transfer expert Yagiz Sabuncuoglu revealed ‘Galatasaray have organised the private jet that should be landing at the Ataturk Airport in Istanbul in the early hours of Tuesday.

In the light of the development and following the drama of the transfer deadline day which saw Napoli blocked his move to Saudi Arabia by demanding for more money after agreeing on a fee with Al Ahli, Osimhen posted a music (audio) of Chief Commander, Ebenezer Obey talking about the Eagle.

The song, in Yoruba talked about the Eagle that flies high to the skies, wanting to be God.

‘Awodi n fo loke, o ni ohun fę d’Oluwa,’ the song goes in Yoruba and can be translated to mean: ‘The Eagle flies to the high skies, wanting to be God.’

The Nigerian could have likened Napoli and the club’s President, Aurelio De Laurentiis to the Eagle who are playing God over the 25-year old’s career.

This could also be linked to the fact that Napoli are demanding the Nigerian extend his contract by an extra year till 2027 before going on loan.

According to Football Italia, this could be because ‘if he were to return in 2025 with only one year left on his contract, it would put the Partenopei in a weak bargaining position to negotiate his sale.’
