Bassey Out Injured as Ndidi Boosts Super Eagles Camp

Fulham defender Calvin Bassey has pulled out of Nigeria’s upcoming international friendlies against Iran and Jordan in Turkey due to injury.

Meanwhile, team captain Wilfred Ndidi has joined the squad, bringing the number of players in camp to 22.

Prior to his arrival, 21 players had already reported, including Fulham’s Alex Iwobi and AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze.

The squad in camp features a mix of experience and youth, with names such as Fisayo Bashiru, Emmanuel Oluwasegun, Yira Sor, Paul Onuachu, Philip Otele, Semi Ajayi, Moses Simon, Francis Uzoho, Bruno Onyemaechi, Bright Osayi, Frank Onyeka, Adebayo Adeleye, Ademola Lookman, Akor Adams, Chidera Ejuke, Raphael Onyedika, Igoh Ogbu, Maduka Okoye, Samuel Chukwueze, and Zaidu Sanusi all present.

With Ndidi’s arrival, the Super Eagles now have a full complement of players as preparations intensify for the friendlies, which are expected to serve as key tests ahead of competitive fixtures later in the year.
