Beşiktaş confirm Ndidi Injury blow

Beşiktaş have confirmed that Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi will miss upcoming fixtures following the injury he sustained during Nigeria’s World Cup qualifier against South Africa.
Ndidi, who started the match for the Super Eagles, was forced off in the 70th minute after picking up a muscle injury. According to TRT Spor, the experienced midfielder will be unavailable for Beşiktaş’s clashes against RAMS Başakşehir and Göztepe.
The club is now racing against time to have him fit for the match against Kayserispor on September 24.
In an official statement, Beşiktaş provided an update on Ndidi’s condition:
“Our player Wilfred Ndidi, who could not continue the game due to the injury he suffered in the Nigerian national team’s match against South Africa, has returned to our country. Following evaluation and MRI imaging at Acıbadem Altunizade Hospital, stretching and bleeding were detected in the posterior thigh muscle (semimembranosus). Treatment has commenced under the supervision of our medical team.”
