Despite agreeing to personal terms and eyeing a fresh start in black and white, Osayi-Samuel’s move was abruptly canceled after his father allegedly demanded an additional €300,000 per year on top of the agreed €1.9 million salary.

Beşiktaş President Serdal Adalı didn’t mince words, calling the request ‘meaningless’ and confirming the club’s withdrawal from the deal.

‘We had no choice but to stop the transfer due to last-minute changes that didn’t align with our principles,’ he said.
