Best FIFA Men’s Player Award: Peseiro, Musa disagree on Messi
Nigeria head coach, José Vítor Dos Santos Peseiro and captain, Ahmed Musa are not on the same regarding who the best player in the world is following the choice of Lionel Messi as Best FIFA Men’s Player of the year.
Messi won ahead of PSG teammate, Kylian Mbappe and Real Madrid forward, Karim Benzema but Peseiro thinks the Los Blancos star should have been chosen to retain the award he won last year.
The Super Eagles coach voted Benzema as his first choice with Messi and Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne third.
Musa however feels Messi is the best player on planet earth at the moment and his choice of the Argentine was that of majority of others.
The Nigeria captain chose Messi as his first choice with Benzema in second position and Mbappe third.
Messi led Argentina to win the FIFA World Cup in Qatar last December and was named player of the tournament
